Snapshot
| Dimension | Ora | Eventim |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Self-serve independent ticketing plus brands | Enterprise ticketing (CTS Eventim / Eventim AXS) |
| Best when | You run your own room and sell partnerships | You ticket a venue, tour, or rights-held inventory |
| Sponsor & vendor portal | Two-sided local sponsors and vendors | Not a local indie brand marketplace of this kind |
| Ticket-buyer reports | Age, gender, zip, source channel, purchasing behavior for partners | Enterprise reporting for rights holders — different buyer, different artifact |
| Venue POS | Square and Toast (both live), Clover coming soon, for organizers, venues, and brands at independent rooms, not an arena box office | Enterprise box office — not a live indie bar-consumption feed (Square and Toast today, Clover coming soon) |
| Fees (public) | Ora charges a platform fee on ticket revenue. The public rate is not listed on this page — for current pricing, get in touch with us at support@oraapp.com. | Eventim and AXS price by contract. There is no public DIY fee table this page will invent. |
The wedge
Ora’s two-sided sponsor and vendor portal, plus pre- and post-event ticket-buyer reports covering age, gender, zip, source channel, and purchasing behavior.
Ora connects Square and Toast (both live), with Clover coming soon — for organizers, venues, and brands: bar spend and what the night made the venue, an event-level consumption report a room can sell, and beverage sponsorships against what was actually poured — not ticket counts.
Those are the product differences this page is willing to argue. This is not a claim about inventory size, GMV, or how many customers anyone has.
Who the POS flywheel is for
Ora connects Square and Toast (both live), with Clover coming soon. The same bar-consumption data is for organizers, venues, and brands. It sits beside the sponsor/vendor portal and the ticket-buyer reports; it does not replace them.
Organizers
Full visibility of bar spend: what was actually poured, how much money the night made the venue, and beverage-company sponsorships sold against that consumption — not ticket counts. Revenue-split is example framing only (20% of the bar), not a published Ora take-rate. For live commercial terms, get in touch with us at support@oraapp.com.
Venues
An event-level consumption report, then sell that night to brands. Twins and Hotel Van Zandt are live onboarded venues on Ora. That is a customer fact, not a quote, and this page does not publish invented night totals for those rooms as Ora reports.
Brands
Pick nights based on their product’s pour. Example framing only — not a live Ora report, and not a measured night at any named room: a Friday with $16k in tequila drinks, sponsor $5k to own the well. No fake SKUs. The buy is against consumption, not tickets.
Where Eventim is stronger
Arena and tour scale
CTS Eventim and AXS exist for buildings and rights. Ora does not claim to ticket stadiums, replace allocated holds, or run a national onsale. That would be a dishonest comparison.
Contracted operations
Scanners, printer networks, and settlement against a building deal are Eventim’s world. Independent checkout is Ora’s.
Where Ora is stronger
Independent hosts can actually start
Ora is self-serve for organizers. Eventim is not the tool you open to list a 200-cap night and invite a local vendor the same afternoon.
A brand portal Eventim is not selling to indies
Two-sided sponsors and vendors, with pre/post ticket-buyer reports — age, gender, zip, source channel, purchasing behavior — is the wedge for independent nights, not a claim about enterprise CRM.
Indie bar POS, not allocated inventory
Ora connects Square and Toast (both live), Clover coming soon, for organizers, venues, and brands at independent rooms. Eventim/AXS is for rights-held tickets, not that indie POS flywheel. No invented pour metrics.
Who should stay on Eventim
Stay on Eventim/AXS if you already have a venue deal, allocated inventory, or a tour that cannot leave that stack.
Who should look at Ora
Look at Ora if you are an independent host — not an arena — and the missing product is a sponsor/vendor portal with ticket-buyer reports, plus Square, Toast, and Clover so beverage brands can sponsor bar consumption, not a box-office mainframe.
Fees
Ora. Ora charges a platform fee on ticket revenue. The public rate is not listed on this page — for current pricing, get in touch with us at support@oraapp.com.
Eventim. Eventim / Eventim AXS fees are contractual (venue, market, and rights). This page will not guess a percentage.

Questions, answered
- Is Eventim the same product as Eventim AXS?
- CTS Eventim is the parent ticketing group; Eventim AXS is the AXS-branded platform in markets where that stack is used. This page treats them as one enterprise family versus Ora’s independent product — not as identical consumer apps.
- Should an arena stay on Eventim?
- Yes. This comparison is not asking buildings to move. Ora is for independent organizers, not a box-office replacement.
- Does Eventim offer a two-sided local sponsor portal for independent hosts?
- Enterprise tools for rights holders are not Ora’s indie sponsor/vendor marketplace. Local brands matching to a 200-cap night, booking a booth, and exporting a buyer report is Ora’s product.
- Can Ora ticket a stadium tour?
- This page does not claim that. Tours and allocated inventory stay on Eventim/AXS (or whichever enterprise stack holds the rights).
- What does “independent organizer” mean on this page?
- Someone who creates an event, sets ticket types, and can invite a brand the same week — not a venue locked to a ticketing rights deal. That person is the Ora reader.
- Is Eventim’s box office the same as connecting Square, Toast, and Clover for bar sponsorships?
- No. Eventim/AXS is enterprise allocated ticketing. Ora connects Square and Toast (with Clover coming soon) at independent rooms for three audiences: organizers see bar spend and what they made the venue; venues sell an event consumption report (Twins and Hotel Van Zandt are live onboarded venues, not quotes); brands pick pours. Example only, not a live Ora report: $16k tequila, $5k well. Arena ticket counts are a different object.
