Snapshot
| Dimension | Ora | Dice |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Independent ticketing with a brand portal | Music and nightlife discovery app with ticketing |
| Best when | You run your own nights and sell partnerships | You want Dice’s fan app in front of a lineup |
| Sponsor & vendor portal | Two-sided sponsors and vendors | Not a local sponsor/vendor marketplace of this kind |
| Ticket-buyer reports | Age, gender, zip, source channel, purchasing behavior | Fan and sales tools for the show — not this brand-facing report |
| Venue POS | Square and Toast (both live), Clover coming soon, for organizers, venues, and brands at independent rooms | Fan-app ticketing — not a live bar-consumption feed (Square and Toast today, Clover coming soon) |
| Fees (public) | Ora charges a platform fee on ticket revenue. The public rate is not listed on this page — for current pricing, get in touch with us at support@oraapp.com. | Dice does not publish a standard US organizer fee table on a public pricing page. Industry write-ups exist; this site will not treat them as Dice’s numbers. |
The wedge
Ora’s two-sided sponsor and vendor portal, plus pre- and post-event ticket-buyer reports covering age, gender, zip, source channel, and purchasing behavior.
Ora connects Square and Toast (both live), with Clover coming soon — for organizers, venues, and brands: bar spend and what the night made the venue, an event-level consumption report a room can sell, and beverage sponsorships against what was actually poured — not ticket counts.
Those are the product differences this page is willing to argue. This is not a claim about inventory size, GMV, or how many customers anyone has.
Who the POS flywheel is for
Ora connects Square and Toast (both live), with Clover coming soon. The same bar-consumption data is for organizers, venues, and brands. It sits beside the sponsor/vendor portal and the ticket-buyer reports; it does not replace them.
Organizers
Full visibility of bar spend: what was actually poured, how much money the night made the venue, and beverage-company sponsorships sold against that consumption — not ticket counts. Revenue-split is example framing only (20% of the bar), not a published Ora take-rate. For live commercial terms, get in touch with us at support@oraapp.com.
Venues
An event-level consumption report, then sell that night to brands. Twins and Hotel Van Zandt are live onboarded venues on Ora. That is a customer fact, not a quote, and this page does not publish invented night totals for those rooms as Ora reports.
Brands
Pick nights based on their product’s pour. Example framing only — not a live Ora report, and not a measured night at any named room: a Friday with $16k in tequila drinks, sponsor $5k to own the well. No fake SKUs. The buy is against consumption, not tickets.
Where Dice is stronger
Fan-app discovery
Dice is a destination for music people. Ora does not claim a larger concert graph, better anti-scalping, or more artist relationships. If Dice is the storefront, stay.
Music-industry default
Lineups, waitlists, and a mobile ticket wallet are Dice’s home. This comparison does not pretend Ora is a Dice replacement for a touring act.
Where Ora is stronger
Local brands, not only fans
Ora’s two-sided portal is for sponsors and vendors attaching to a night. Dice is for fans attaching to a lineup. Different buyers of the software.
Reports for the brand, not only the promoter
Pre- and post-event ticket-buyer reports — age, gender, zip, source channel, purchasing behavior — plus consented scans. That is the wedge, not a claim about who sells more tickets.
Consumption beside the ticket scan
Ora connects Square and Toast (both live), Clover coming soon, for organizers, venues, and brands. A beverage brand can buy pours instead of inferring demand from Dice ticket scans. No invented pour volumes on this page.
Who should stay on Dice
Stay on Dice if you are an artist, venue, or promoter whose buyers already open Dice to find nights, and you need that discovery more than a brand recap.
Who should look at Ora
Look at Ora if you are an independent host selling your own room and a brand wants zip-level ticket buyers plus a booth, or a beverage partner that wants Square, Toast, and Clover pours — which Dice is not structured to marketplace.

Questions, answered
- Does Dice publish a US organizer fee table?
- Not one this page will quote. Third-party blogs guess at booking fees. Ora will not reprint those as facts. Ask Dice for the live rate on your shows.
- Is Dice better for touring artists?
- Often yes, if the fans are already on Dice and the tour needs that app. Ora is not pitching itself as a stadium or tour replacement in this comparison.
- Can a Dice show attach a vendor booth with scanned leads?
- Not through Ora’s two-sided vendor portal. You can still sell a booth offline. Ora is the product that matches the vendor, takes the booking, and returns scanned leads with a buyer report.
- Should a club night that needs brand partners leave Dice?
- Only if the brand work is the missing product. Keep Dice when the app is the audience. Use Ora when the night must brief a sponsor with zip-level buyers.
- Does Ora compete with Dice’s anti-scalping wallet?
- This page does not claim wallet or resale parity. Anti-scalping is a Dice strength. Ora’s comparison point is sponsors, vendors, ticket-buyer reports, and venue POS (Square and Toast today, Clover coming soon) for bar consumption.
- Does Dice feed Square, Toast, or Clover sales to a beverage sponsor?
- Dice is a fan-app ticketing product. Ora’s Square and Toast flywheel (Clover coming soon) is three-sided: organizers see bar spend; venues get an event consumption report to sell (Twins and Hotel Van Zandt are live onboarded venues, not quotes); brands buy pours. Example only, not a live Ora report: $16k tequila, $5k well. Ticket scans in Dice are not that consumption slice.
