Free RSVPFree events in Austin, TX
Austin has free events on most weeks — community markets, gallery and gallery-adjacent openings, free shows and RSVP-only meetups across the Red River Cultural District, Rainey Street and East Austin. They cost nothing but most still need a reservation, because capacity is real.
Updated October 1, 2026
Free does not mean second-tier in Austin. Some of the better nights across the Red River Cultural District and Rainey Street are no-cost by design — openings, launches, markets and community sessions that make their money elsewhere. The catch is capacity: free events fill faster than paid ones precisely because there is no financial reason to hesitate, so reserve as soon as something looks good rather than deciding on the day.

Free RSVPYes. Everything on this page has a zero-cost ticket or RSVP — free shows, markets, openings and community meetups. There is no hidden booking fee at checkout; a free ticket is free.
Almost always. Free events have the same real capacity as paid ones and tend to fill faster, so organizers cap the guest list. Reserving takes a few taps and gets you the same QR code you would get for a paid ticket.
Continuously. The page is rebuilt on every visit from live listings, so an event appears as soon as its organizer puts tickets on sale and drops off once it has passed or sold out.
