The Art of Hosting Events is a workshop for creatives, entrepreneurs, wellness leaders, and aspiring event organizers who want to learn how to create experiences people actually want to attend and come back to. After years of hosting events in Dallas, I moved to Austin knowing very few people and rebuilt community from the ground up through the Heart + Sol Tour, collaborations, storytelling, intentional marketing, and a mission deeply connected to my “why.” Without a large following, I focused on creating meaningful experiences, genuine relationships, and events people felt emotionally connected to. In this workshop, I’ll be sharing the behind-the-scenes of what helped me build momentum in a new city, attract sponsors and vendors, create partnerships, market events organically, and grow a community-centered brand through experiences. We’ll cover: • creating intentional and magnetic experiences • building community through events • marketing and building hype around your event • pitching sponsors and working with brands • collaborations, vendors, and partnerships • visibility, confidence, and showing up online • creating atmosphere, flow, and emotional connection Guest speakers include Beverlyn Gonzalez, founder of Spill It 3 Min Mic Events, and Ora App founder Bernardo, an AI-powered event platform helping organizers amplify and market their events. Event Organizer
Beverlyn Gonzalez grew up in Puerto Rico and has a background in military service tech and healthcare business. Last year she left her career in tech and leaned into a more creative path through social media creating content that highlights local experiences and supports Latino-owned businesses. That eventually led her into hosting events and launching Spill It — a live storytelling event focused on bringing people together through shared stories and community.
Gen Camacho is the founder of El Studio Pilates + Rejuve Wellness. Born in Mexico and raised in Texas after immigrating at a young age her journey deeply shaped her passion for creating intentional inclusive wellness spaces rooted in community and care. With a background in exercise sports science rehab studies and healthcare Gen blends classical Pilates biomechanics and nervous system awareness. Through El Studio she is redefining wellness as a space where movement feels accessible empowering and welcoming for all bodies.
Bernardo’s vision is to bring people together. He is the founder of Ora an event ticketing platform designed to help organizers create promote and sell out their events. He is also the founder of Vega Brands a beverage portfolio which includes six brands: Moone and Eternal Bliss two non-alcoholic wellness brands alongside Esquisito Tequila Imperiale Vodka Palenque Mezcal and Tentación Tequila. Previously Bernardo founded and exited two eight-figure e-commerce brands.
Founder of Commune + Bloom, a wellness brand rooted in movement, breathwork, and community experiences that support personal and professional growth. After years of hosting events in Dallas, Shelsea moved to Austin and rebuilt community from the ground up through collaborations, storytelling, and the Heart + Sol Tour. Her work has included community events, corporate wellness experiences, retreats, fundraisers, intimate events to large-scale community gatherings that bring people together and create lasting impact.
